LSO currently supports standard network software supplied with the Microsoft Windows NT or Windows 95 operating system.
LSO supports two different protocols, Named Pipes and Windows TCP/IP Sockets, for data transfer over the network. Each has advantages and disadvantages, and is intended for use in different situations.
Alternate network operating systems and protocols will be supported in the future.
